After a multi-year effort we are now able to bring precisely engineered tonewoods for both necks AND bodies to builders of electric instruments.
Who Are We?
Located in Northern California we are musicians, instrument builders, high-end woodworkers and lumber logistics professionals. In each of these disciplines we have, at a minimum, 30+ years of experience.
Partnered with a large hardwood lumber distributor in the Northwest we are able to supply one body and neck at a time to the small builder, pallet loads to the mid-size builder and truckloads of Tempered Tonewood to the large manufacturer.
We source maple for our neck blanks directly from the best hardwood mills in the Northern Midwest.
Our body blanks come from small loggers who are able to select one log at a time logs in the prime growing areas of the Northern Midwest and the Deep South.
Our highly figured Western Maple is selectively harvested for drop tops, by request, on behalf of individual landowners in Washington and Oregon.
We air dry, then kin dry and finally thermally process our stock to carefully researched specifications that have proven to optimize performance of our different species for the intended instrument part they will yield.
All of our logistics occur cost-effectively via full containers and we store our inventory in classic hardwood lumber warehouses.
Our stock is properly humidity equalized and will acclimatize to your area easily when you receive your body or neck blank .
We work with premier component manufacturers so you can get classic American instrument parts ready for your custom build.
We build instruments ourselves and in the future you will see some of our guitars and basses on this site. We also look forward to showing you some of our customers’ work.

This site is dedicated to make our tempered instrument blanks available online. It is intended to give you an overview of our classic guitar building materials and allow you to order them with confidence.
The site will also present, in time, one by one, “named” pieces of special, outstanding quality – the one-in-a-hundred master grade neck, body, finger-board or drop-top blank.
There are boutique loggers, true brick-and-mortar mills, production facilities and warehouses in the Midwest and on the West Coast that back up this effort – we are not just brokers or middle-men.
